Singapore Science Park II
The Singapore Science Park II, part of the Singapore Science Park, is one of
Southeast Asia's foremost addresses for research and development. Park I was
set up in 1980 by the Singapore government to promote research and
development in Singapore. Following the success of Park I, Park II came into
existence in 1993. Tenants in the Science Park include British Petroleum,
Centre for Wireless Communications, Exxon Chemical, Seagate Technology
International, Sony International, the National Computer Board (NCB) and the
National Science & Technology Board (NSTB).
The objective of the Park is to provide a focal point for research,
development and innovation in Singapore and the region.
The management of the Science Park was privatized in 1990. It is now owned
and managed by
Ascendas Pte Ltd.
